At Courtice Home Healthcare, your satisfaction is our priority. We understand that purchasing medical equipment and supplies is an important decision. This policy outlines our return and refund procedures to ensure a fair and transparent experience for all customers.

1. Return Window

  • Most items may be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date
  • Items must be in their original, unused condition with all original packaging intact
  • Original receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns
  • Without a receipt, exchanges may be offered at the discretion of store management

2. How to Return an Item

In-Store Returns:

  • Bring the item along with your original receipt to our store at 1423 King St E, Unit 5, Courtice
  • Our staff will inspect the item and process your return or exchange
  • Returns are processed during regular business hours

Online Purchase Returns:

  • Contact us at info@courticehomehealthcare.com or call +1 (905) 721-0004 to initiate a return
  • We will provide return instructions and a return authorization number
  • Items must be securely packaged for return shipping
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or incorrectly shipped

3. Refund Method and Timeline

  • Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method
  • In-store refunds are processed immediately upon approval
  • Online purchase refunds are processed within 10-15 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item
  • Depending on your bank or card provider, additional processing time may apply

4. Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of medical products and hygiene requirements, the following items cannot be returned once the original seal is broken or the item has been used:

  • Compression stockings and hosiery
  • Incontinence products
  • Ostomy supplies
  • Breast pumps and accessories
  • Blood pressure monitors
  • TENS units
  • Pillows and cushions
  • Mattresses and overlays
  • Bathroom safety items (grab bars, shower chairs, commodes)
  • Supports and braces
  • Respiratory and CPAP equipment and supplies
  • Mobility aids (transport chairs, rollators, scooters) once used

5. Final Sale Items

The following items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances:

  • Clearance and sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Special orders and custom orders
  • Shipping fees

6. Defective or Incorrect Items

  • If you receive a defective or incorrectly shipped item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt
  • We will arrange for a replacement, exchange, or full refund at no additional cost to you
  • Return shipping for defective or incorrect items will be covered by Courtice Home Healthcare

7. ADP and Insurance-Funded Items

  • Items purchased through the Ontario Assistive Devices Program (ADP) or direct insurance billing may have different return conditions
  • ADP-funded equipment returns may require authorization from ADP Ontario
  • Please contact us before returning any ADP or insurance-funded items for guidance

8. Restocking Fee

  • A restocking fee may apply to certain items including lift chairs, hospital beds, and power mobility devices
  • The restocking fee will be communicated clearly at the time of purchase

9. Exchanges

  • Exchanges for a different size, color, or model are accepted within the 30-day return window
  • Items must be in original, unused condition with original packaging
  • If the exchange item has a different price, the difference will be charged or refunded accordingly
